Terry Halliday Productions’ Infection Control Policies and Action Plan

Due to the number of immune compromised clients that we service, Terry Halliday Productions takes health & safety precautions VERY seriously. As such the following infection control procedures are in place to provide the highest level of care to all of our clients, staff and their families.

Terry Halliday Productions is committed to the following policies and actions in relation to Covid-19 and other infectious and viral conditions including Influenza, Chicken Pox, Meningitis and Measles.

COVID-19 and INFLUENZA POLICIES AND ACTION PLAN

  • we will monitor and follow the advice of our Health Authorities with regard to Covid-19 and Influenza

  • we will monitor our community of students, clients, and staff for cases of Covid-19

  • any team member with cold or flu like symptoms is required to stay at home and only come back to work when clear of all symptoms and given the “all clear” by a negative RAT test

  • any student with cold or flu like symptoms is asked to stay at home and only return to face to face participation when clear of all symptoms and given the “all clear” by a negative RAT test.
    Online learning is available for those that wish to continue their study during this time

  • any team member or student that lives in the same household as a person infected by Covid-19 is required to notify management immediately. If no symptoms are present and given the “all clear” by a negative RAT test, they may enter the premises so long as a face mask is worn

  • any team member or student that has come in casual contact with a person infected by Covid-19 are required to notify management immediately. If no symptoms are present they may enter the premises so long as a face mask is worn

  • if a case of Covid-19 has been at our premises, Terry Halliday Productions management team will immediately establish an action plan based on the advice of Health Authorities which may include a full or partial closure of the business to allow for thorough cleaning and testing

OTHER VIRAL & INFECTIOUS CONDITIONS POLICIES AND ACTION PLAN

Conditions including (but not limited to) Chickenpox, Meningitis and Measles.

  • we will monitor and follow the advice of our Health Authorities with regard to viral & infectious conditions

  • we will monitor our community of students, clients, and staff for viral & infectious conditions

  • any team member or student that has been diagnosed with a viral condition are required to notify management immediately. Once given the “all clear” by a medical professional by the means of a doctors certificate may enter the premises

  • any team member or student that resides with a person infected by a viral or infectious condition are required to notify management immediately. Further action will be advised based on individual circumstances

TO ENSURE HEALTH & HYGIENE PRACTICES

  • hand sanitising stations we have been set up throughout our music school and studios

  • all customers and students are required to clean or sanitise their hands before entering our studios

  • hospital grade disinfectant is used to clean all hard surfaces (floors, bathrooms, door handles)

  • antibacterial hand soap is available in all bathrooms

  • hand sanitiser, wipes and disinfectant spray is available in every studio

  • signs have been placed throughout our facilities to remind customers and students about good hygiene

  • we ensure that staff wipe down all touch points on instruments and studio gear (amps, chairs, music stands etc) after every lesson

  • strict procedures have been established for cleaning instruments in the studios, before and after being handled by customers

  • staff clean microphones, leads and microphone stands with isopropyl alcohol before and after each use

  • we encourage visiting bands to bring their own microphones where possible

  • we have limited the sharing of instruments, accessories and gear amongst staff, students and teachers

  • all staff and teachers are provided face masks, to be used at their discretion

  • contactless payment is encouraged

  • management will regularly review the current circumstances and advice of Health Authorities to ensure our policies and actions remain adequate, effective and fully compliant

  • management will keep our team and community informed of changes to our policies and any other matters of importance
