Terry Halliday Productions’ Covid-19 Policies and Action Plan

COVID-19 POLICIES AND ACTION PLAN

To protect our team and community Terry Halliday Productions is committed to the following policies and actions in relation to Covid-19 : 

  • we will monitor and follow the advice of our Health Authorities with regard to Covid-19 
  • we will monitor our community of students, staff, coaches and customers for cases of Covid-19 
  • any team member or student that has travelled outside of NSW or come in contact with a person infected by Covid-19 is required to notify management immediately and self-isolate at home for 14 days; if they develop any symptoms they must see their doctor and follow their advice, including taking a Covid-19 test if required – they must not return to the premises until given a negative test result and all symptoms have resolved.
  • any team member with cold or flu like symptoms is required to stay at home, consult their doctor and only come back to work when clear of all symptoms and given the “all clear” by medical professionals
  • any student with cold or flu like symptoms is asked to stay at home, consult their doctor and only return to face to face lessons when clear of all symptoms and given the “all clear” by medical professionals. Online learning is available for those that wish to continue their study during this time
  • if a case of Covid-19 is traced to our premises, Terry Halliday Productions management team will immediately establish an action plan based on the advice of Health Authorities which may include a full or partial closure of the business to allow for thorough cleaning, contact tracing and testing 
  • to ensure prompt contact tracing, Terry Halliday Productions management team requests that all members of each rehearsing band register their personal details through our QR form
  • arrange for staff to work from home to the maximum extent possible given the nature of their roles
  • ban all social gatherings, events, parties, functions and uses of Terry Halliday Productions facilities for any purpose other than music rehearsal, instrument hire and music education
  • ensure management regularly review the current circumstances and advice of Health Authorities to ensure our policies and actions remain adequate, effective and fully compliant
  • keep our team and community informed of changes to our policies and any other matters of importance. 


To ensure safe physical distancing:

  • we have displayed notices advising the maximum room capacity on each the door of every studio and teaching room (based on 1 person per 4 sqm) and ensure these limits are complied with at all times
  • we have modified the configuration and equipment in all studios for safe physical distancing within each studio
  • we have modified seating in our waiting areas for physical distancing
  • we have placed reminders and floor markings for our coaches and students to maintain safe physical distancing (1.5m) within all studio sessions
  • we have asked all students to arrive no more than 5 minutes before their lesson, and leave straight after
  • we ask that parents of students remain outside the facility where possible and if required limit entry to 1 parent per student 
  • we have re-arranged our work spaces, counters and placed distance markers on the floor to ensure safe distancing between customers and staff


To ensure safe health and hygiene practices:

  • we have set up hand sanitising stations throughout our music school and studios
     
  • we require all customers and students to clean or sanitise their hands before entering our studios
     
  • we use a hospital grade disinfectant to clean all hard surfaces daily (floors, bathrooms, door handles)
     
  • we have provided antibacterial hand soap in all bathrooms 
     
  • we have provided hand sanitiser, wipes and disinfectant spray in every studio
     
  • we have placed signs throughout our facilities to remind customers and students about good hygiene and safe distancing 
     
  • we ensure that staff wipe down all touch points on instruments and studio gear (amps, chairs, music stands etc) after every lesson
     
  • we have established strict procedures for cleaning instruments in the studios, before and after being handled by customers
  • we ensure that staff clean microphones, leads and microphone stands with isopropyl alcohol before and after each use 
  • we encourage visiting bands to bring their own microphones where possible
  • we have limited the sharing of instruments, accessories and gear amongst staff, students and teachers
  • we have provided all staff and teachers with face masks, to be used at their discretion when unable to practice safe physical distancing or at other any time when it is practical to do so
  • we encourage contactless payment
  • we have prohibited all choirs and singing group activities until further notice
